SULFUR Game Guide

Quick Answer

Choose Pizza Slice for healing, Green Tea for melee damage, and Pilk for extra jumps or removing Burning. In 1.0, reaching full HP clears your remaining healing regeneration. Double Cheeseburger has conflicting healing figures, so you should not treat its listed 200 HP as a guaranteed current value.

Which food should you choose for healing or buffs?

You should choose by your missing health, required buff, and available ingredients.

A recipe card lists the ingredients and the healing it gives.

Pizza Slice combines 100 health over five seconds with no listed movement penalty. Green Tea serves a different purpose: its main attraction is melee damage, rather than its small heal. Pilk gives you extra jumps and removes Burning, alongside slower healing.

FoodHealing, buffs, and ingredients
Pizza Slice100 health over 5 seconds; made from Pizza.
Green Tea+150% Melee damage for 60 seconds; 10 health over 5 seconds; removes Frozen and Poisoned. Bottled Water + Matcha.
Pilk60 health over 10 seconds; +3 Extra Jumps for 30 seconds; removes Burning. Skimmed Milk + Sulf Cola.
Candy Cane20 health over 0.1 seconds. Herbs + Sugar + Solution.
Marshmallows40 health over 2 seconds. Sugar + Egg.
Fondue50 health over 4 seconds. Cheese ×2.
Pizza150 health over 10 seconds; -10% Jump power and -10% Movement speed for 15 seconds. Cheese + Herbs + Spicy Sausage.
Double CheeseburgerListed as 200 health over 10 seconds, but reduced in 1.0. Two matching flesh ingredients + Bread + Cheese.

These options solve different problems, so a larger total heal does not automatically make your meal the best choice. Candy Cane gives you a small, very fast heal. Marshmallows sit between that small recovery and the larger Pizza Slice heal.

How does healing over time work in 1.0?

You lose all remaining HP regeneration when you reach full HP.

Eating extra food cannot preserve that leftover healing for damage you take afterward. If you are already close to full health, part of a large heal can disappear when you fill up. Choose your recovery around the health you actually need, rather than only the biggest number.

Double Cheeseburger illustrates why this matters. It used to give 200 health over 10 seconds. The 1.0 balance change cut it to 75 health over 20 seconds, alongside the full-health regeneration cutoff.

You can watch the food balance explanation from 8:10. The Double Cheeseburger discussion begins at 8:51.

Do not eat a large heal expecting unused regeneration to protect you after reaching full HP.

What should you cook before a boss?

Prepare Pizza Slice for recovery, then choose Green Tea or Pilk for the effect you need.

Prepare your healing

Cook Pizza with Cheese, Herbs, and Spicy Sausage, then use Pizza to make Pizza Slice. A slice restores 100 health over five seconds. Whole Pizza restores 150 over ten seconds, but lowers your movement speed and jump power for 15 seconds.

Choose the slice when you want healing without those listed penalties. The available recipe details do not establish how many slices you receive.

Choose your useful buff

Make Green Tea with Bottled Water and Matcha if you plan to deal melee damage. Its +150% Melee damage lasts 60 seconds, and it also removes Frozen and Poisoned.

Make Pilk with Skimmed Milk and Sulf Cola if you want +3 Extra Jumps for 30 seconds. You can also use it to remove Burning.

Keep smaller recovery options in mind

Use Candy Cane for 20 health over 0.1 seconds, or Marshmallows for 40 health over two seconds. Fondue uses two Cheese and restores 50 health over four seconds.

First Aid Kit is another recovery option, although it is not food. Cloth and Blood make it, and it restores 100 health over five seconds.
